Strongly characterized by a creative trans-disciplinary approach and rooted in a collaborative, research-based and experimental practice, her work tends toward the exploration of the design discipline.
Aiming to investigate and reflect upon (material) culture, she actively collaborates with professionals from other disciplines in a co-creative process, to arrive at new discoveries and outcomes. Her work spans across various mediums and combines systematic research with intuitive methods.
Recently she has been exploring themes in relation to materiality and immateriality. Next to the physical presentation of the work she is very interested in documentation. For every project she develops, she produces a related artist book or publication. These books frame research as more than a tool to design and produce, and as a way of becoming embedded within a particular culture, craft, or history.
