Mia Meijers (NL, 1954) attended the art academy in Maasmechelen in addition to her work at the Dutch Council for Child Protection.
Her years of experience with problematic upbringing situations and complex divorces are a permanent source of inspiration for her. Mia’s creative process starts from the perspective of the child and his perception of the world. Motherhood and child abuse are currently recurring themes in her work. Her visual language confronts and invites the audience to explore these socially relevant themes.
