Exhibition: 'Because I love you' by Mia Meijers

Simultaneously with the upcoming Book Week in March (de moeder, de vrouw), the Babygirl Movement organizes an exhibition at its art space revolving around motherhood and child abuse.


Mia Meijers, a Dutch artist based in Maastricht, worked for many years at the Dutch Council for Child Protection and will share her experience and sensibility through paintings and art installations.

Lecture: De Moeder, De Ex by Liesbeth Groenhuijsen

at the Belvedere Fenikshof 1 in Maastricht 

In the context of the upcoming exhibition about motherhood and child abuse by Mia Meijers, the Babygirl Movement invited Liesbeth Groenhuijsen, psychologist and writer to give a lecture about motherhood after divorce. She is an expert on the subject and has published several books on the topic.

The lecture will explore what it means to be a mother after divorce: what are the dilemma's on wanting to protect the child from harm, the (legal) obligation and how to deal with conflict with the other parent about the children.

The lecture will be free, in Dutch and SKJ accreditation can be arranged for professionals.
